Family-friendly fun and hands-on learning are promised at the third annual Beaumont ISD-ExxonMobil Family STEM Night, which will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 5–8 p.m. at Doggett Ford Park.
STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Night is an expo-style event that has a stated aim to introduce a new generation of students to the innumerable opportunities a career in STEM can provide.
Since 2023, more than 8,000 Southeast Texans have visited Doggett Ford Park for STEM Night, making it one of the largest STEM-focused events in the region.
From robotics demonstrations to hands-on experiments, attendees can engage in various STEM fields and activities led by over 70 vendors ranging from BISD campuses to community organizations.
To keep the learning going after the night ends, the first 900 students to complete their “STEM Passport,” which they will receive upon arrival, will go home with a free STEM kit.
Students will also have the chance to win one of over 20 door prizes.
This event is free and open to all students in grades PK-12, regardless of the school district or campus they attend — no pre-registration required.
Anyone interested in being a vendor at STEM Night should contact LaChandra Cobb-Eaglin at lcobb@bmtisd.com.
