Jay Sheppard
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Southeast Texas has announced the promotion of Jay Sheppard to vice president of Operations, according to President and CEO Darren Erwin.
Sheppard has been part of the BBB team for 19 years, and according to Erwin, she bringing extensive experience and dedication to the organization.
In her new role, Sheppard will oversee key operational functions, with a focus on enhancing dispute resolution processes, supporting organizational growth, and expanding BBB programs that foster trust between consumers and businesses.
“Jay has demonstrated unwavering dedication to our organization, and to the businesses and consumers of Southeast Texas,” said Erwin. “Her promotion reflects both her accomplishments and the trust we place in her to help shape the future of our organization.”
Sheppard began her career with the BBB in September 2006 as director of Dispute Resolution, stepping into the position under tragic circumstances following the loss of her predecessor.
Early in her tenure, she built partnerships with government agencies and law enforcement that led to impactful investigations, criminal convictions, and stronger consumer protections. Her team’s efforts were recognized with BBB Investigation and Operations Awards.
