The Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) announced an open house event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the SBDC Texas Gulf Coast Network.
The special milestone will be commemorated as a come-and-go event on Tuesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the SBDC office, located at 1401 Procter St.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated and meet the SBDC team to learn about the resources available for small businesses. Also, network with fellow business owners and community leaders.
The event is free and open to the public.
For four decades, the SBDC network has been a trusted resource for entrepreneurs and small business owners, offering essential tools, expert guidance, and tailored support to drive economic growth in the community.
The open house will showcase the impact the Lamar State College Port Arthur SBDC has had on local businesses for more than 27 years.
“We are proud to celebrate 27 years with the Texas Gulf Coast Network of empowering small businesses and driving economic development in our community,” said Dana Espinal, MBA, director of the Lamar State College Port Arthur SBDC. “This open house is not only a celebration of our history but also a commitment to the future of small businesses in Southeast Texas. We invite everyone to join us in honoring this incredible milestone during this come and go event.”

The LSCPA SBDC coverage area includes the cities of Port Arthur, Groves, Nederland, Port Neches, Bridge City, Orange and Vidor.
