Del Papa Distributing announced Dec. 1 its continued support of the Southeast Texas Food Bank with a match grant of $50,000.
The contribution marks the fifth consecutive year that Del Papa Distributing has partnered with the food bank to support its mission of alleviating hunger and improving lives in Southeast Texas.
“At Del Papa Distributing, we are deeply committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Jeff Wheeler, vice president of Marketing and Corporate Relations of Del Papa Distributing. “As economic pressures continue to impact families across our region, we recognize the essential role the Southeast Texas Food Bank plays in providing food security. We are honored to support their efforts for the fifth year in a row.”
The match grant reportedly amplifies the impact of community donations by doubling their value, encouraging individuals and organizations to give generously during this vital campaign.
The community has until Dec. 31 to contribute to the goal.
“The Southeast Texas Food Bank is incredibly grateful for Del Papa Distributing’s ongoing commitment to our mission,” said Harvey Zernial, president and CEO at the Southeast Texas Food Bank. “With so many families facing financial hardship and with food deserts affecting large portions of Beaumont, our work is more important than ever. Del Papa’s generous match grant not only boosts our fundraising efforts but also inspires our community to join us in fighting hunger. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.”
Over the past five years, Del Papa Distributing’s partnership with the Southeast Texas Food Bank has contributed to the distribution of over a million meals across the region.
The collaboration underscores the company’s longstanding dedication to building a stronger, healthier Southeast Texas; especially during times when families need support the most.
