First State Bank of Texas announced Jan. 5 the promotion of Misty Fountain to market president. In her new role, Fountain will continue serving customers as a trusted commercial lender while providing leadership and oversight for the local market.

Fountain has more than 25 years of banking experience and is recognized for her servant-leadership approach, passion for building relationships, and dedication to the communities she serves.

Her community involvement is extensive and deeply rooted. She is a past ambassador for the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, a 2022 graduate of Leadership Beaumont and now serves on the Leadership Beaumont Alumni Committee.

Fountain is also a 2025 graduate of Leadership SETX, and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Beaumont and serves on the Board of Directors.

She has served on the Go 4 the Bell Committee since 2023, helping provide financial support to local pediatric cancer patients and their families. Fountain also serves on the AmerAir Cares Committee, a community awareness program through American Air Systems that reviews nominations and selects recipients for a donated HVAC system.

She will be the program’s honorary chair for 2026.

“Misty embodies the values we believe in — integrity, stewardship, and genuine care for people,” said Brandon N. Fisher, president and CEO of First State Bank of Texas. “Her leadership, depth of experience, and commitment to our customers and communities will make her an exceptional market president. We are honored to have her continue to grow with us.”

First State Bank of Texas is located at 4039 Interstate 10 East in Orange.
