The fifth Annual Southeast Texas Women in Industry Week will take place March 23-26, bringing together female leaders from across the region’s industrial sector to inspire, mentor, and connect with the next generation of workforce talent, according to Katie Celli, executive director of Southeast Texas Women in Industry.
Celli said the week-long initiative features more than 20 events designed to introduce female students to careers in industry while fostering meaningful mentorship opportunities with experienced professionals.
Media Night and Women in Industry Mixer is 4 p.m. Monday, March 23 at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. The opening celebration bringing together industry leaders, educators, and community partners.
SETX Women in Industry Leadership Luncheon is 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Robert “Bob” Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. The event welcomes more than 100 female industry leaders connecting with over 175 students through storytelling, mentorship, and career insights.
Southeast Texas Women in Industry Week is dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM and industrial fields by providing direct access to role models, mentors and real-world experiences. Events throughout the week include:
• Coffee Chats with College Students at Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College Orange and Port Arthur: One-on-one conversations with industry professionals
• Leadership Luncheon: Interactive mentorship and networking experience
Speed Mentoring in High Schools across the Golden Triangle: Inspiring facilitated sessions building mentor relationships
• Scholarship Opportunities: Supporting students pursuing industry-related education
Proceeds from the initiative fund scholarships for female students entering the industrial workforce, ensuring long-term impact across Southeast Texas.
