As part of the company’s commitment to help its customers and communities meet their sustainability goals, Entergy Texas, Inc. granted $14,000 to Lamar University to install a new electric charging station located at the university police department.

Lamar University President Ken Evans addressed the community to outline the campus' reopening process, detailing steps of the three-phase plan.  Evans wrote the following: It is our fervent wish we never see a repeat of the spring semester of 2020.

LU going to online classes only following Spring Break

Lamar University notified students that classes will be held solely online following Spring Break. In a notice sent to students, LU President Ken Evans announced: The global impact of COVID-19, also called coronavirus, continues to grow as we work to keep our students, faculty and staff safe.
