Lamar State College Port Arthur moves classes online, some labs excepted

With the closing of all Port Arthur ISD facilities starting Tuesday, March 17, all Lamar State College Port Arthur classes will be offered exclusively online starting Monday, March 23, and running until further notice.

BISD suspends extracurricular activities

The Beaumont Independent School District released the following statement on March 12: Beaumont ISD has determined that, in the best interest of our students and staff, all school-related events, including sporting events and practices, will be suspended until further notice.

LIT president tells students to stay home after Spring Break
