Entergy Texas reaches agreement for rate raise

Entergy Texas has reached a settlement agreement with the Public Utility Commission (PUC) staff and the intervening parties in its base rate case filed in July 2022, pending approval by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).

April shopping brings May tax allocations

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reported that state sales tax revenue totaled $3.84 billion in May, 4.1% more than in May 2022. The majority of May sales tax revenue is based on sales made in April and remitted to the agency in May, the comptroller’s office details.

Comptroller distributes $1B to local governments

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced July 6 that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $1.03 billion in local sales tax allocations for July, 15.3% more than in July 2021.
