Lamar State Colleges further reduce tuition

Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College Orange and Lamar State College Port Arthur, known collectively as the Lamar State Colleges, will further reduce tuition this fall thanks to an additional $17 million in funding in the recently approved state budget.

Lamar State College Orange nursing student Danielle Sullivan has been selected as one of 10 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) Hurst Scholars. Not only is she one of 10 selected in the nation, but she is also the only scholar selected from Texas.

LSCO fishing team 'reels in' another win

The Lamar State College Orange Gators fishing team has reeled in another tournament win, with anglers Trent Buchholz and Grady Doucet placing third in the Abu Garcia College tournament, qualifying them for the national tournament.
The event was held Friday, July 10 at Fort Gibson Lake in Oklahoma.

Lamar state colleges moving all Summer I classes online

Lamar State College Orange and Lamar State College Port Arthur will conduct their Summer I semesters exclusively online as a precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The colleges’ Summer I semesters run from June 1 to July 6, and include both technical and general education studies.
