Lamar State College Orange and Lamar State College Port Arthur will conduct their Summer I semesters exclusively online as a precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic. The colleges’ Summer I semesters run from June 1 to July 6, and include both technical and general education studies.

Project Cargo Breakbulk (PCB) announced March 16 that it was postponing the Future Projects Conference and Exhibition previously scheduled from April 1-2 to June 17-18 in light of growing coronavirus concerns. The event will still be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
