ExxonMobil employees to vote on USW Local 13-243 decertification

ExxonMobil announced Oct. 25 that the National Labor Relations Board has scheduled a vote on whether or not to decertify United Steelworkers (USW) Local 13-243 amid failing contract negotiations. If workers vote to decertify, they will no longer be represented by the Union.

Voters must register, make changes to registration by Oct. 5

Voters must register soon if they want to vote in the upcoming elections.  Jefferson County Voter Registrar Allison Nathan Getz announced Sept. 29 that anyone who wants to vote in the Nov. 3 election must register or make necessary corrections to their name and/or address on or before Monday, Oct.
