Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 Star of Texas Awards honoring peace officers, firefighters, emergency medical first responders and members of federal law enforcement who were seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

Return of ‘Jazz at the Lake’ welcomes array of talent

The City of Beaumont’s annual Jazz at the Lake returns to the Downtown Event Centre monthly from June to August for summer nights of live entertainment, cool jazz, and community fun. The event is held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. indoors at the Event Centre.

‘Sip and Stroll’ through summer at Shangri La

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center invites the public to experience the gardens after-hours during their Sip and Stroll event series on May 11, May 25 and June 15 from 5-8 p.m. This event is a collaboration with Free State Cellars. All Sip and Stroll events are free of charge.

BISD suspends extracurricular activities
