NJCAA suspends spring softball competitions at LSCPA, others due to COVID-19

The Lamar State College Port Arthur softball team, along with all other NJCAA spring sports, is facing a suspension of activity as a precaution with the current spread of the COVID-19 virus, or coronavirus.

BISD suspends extracurricular activities

The Beaumont Independent School District released the following statement on March 12: Beaumont ISD has determined that, in the best interest of our students and staff, all school-related events, including sporting events and practices, will be suspended until further notice.
