Wilson named director of Industrial Services for H.B. Neild Construction
H.B. Neild Construction has named Keene Wilson the company’s director of Industrial Services, in a news release.
Wilson began at the company as an assistant superintendent in July 2019 and begins his new duties this summer. He now serves in an integral role dealing with the day-to-day operations of H.B. Neild’s many industrial clients. This also includes services for H.B. Neild’s construction, HVAC and plumbing projects.
Vice President of Operations Todd Langston said he has witnessed Wilson grow tremendously in the past six years on a bedrock of dependability.
“He is someone you can trust,” Langston said. “He is someone that your people can trust, as well as your clients. They tend to gravitate towards him and form trusting and lasting relationships.”
Langston credits H.B. Neild Construction for fostering a culture that encourages growth.
“When someone is willing to take on that challenge, it is attainable,” he added by noting Wilson’s strongest attributes are dedication, trustworthiness and operating as a great husband, dad and friend to all.
Wilson said he worked in the field before taking on the responsibility of jobsite planning and leadership, and credits his time in the field while working with the craft professionals for allowing him to succeed today.
“From day one, I’ve always felt like my opinion mattered,” he said. “They made me feel like I had something to bring to the table.”
BISD announces McClelland as new M&O director
Beaumont ISD announced the appointment of Mark McClelland as the new director of Maintenance & Operations (M&O).
McClelland brings over three decades of facilities management and operations experience to his new role. He has worked at Beaumont ISD since 1991 and has advanced through key leadership positions, including HVAC technician, Energy Management specialist, MEP supervisor, and most recently, assistant director of Maintenance.
As assistant director, McClelland assisted in managing a $5.2 million annual operating budget and supported the oversight of $38 million in capital projects. He played a vital role in maintaining 59 district structures totaling 3.4 million square feet and in supporting over 200 staff members across maintenance, custodial, grounds, and warehouse operations. He contributed to the implementation of cost-saving energy initiatives, the addition of key staff positions without increasing budgetary impact, and a 20% increase in work order efficiency.
He is also a member of the Texas Energy Managers Association and has been instrumental in guiding the district’s disaster preparedness planning, preventive maintenance systems, and facility inspections. McClelland holds an Associate of Applied Science in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology from Lamar University.
