Beaumont CVB to honor tourism at the 34 Annual Hall of Fame

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) announed its 34th Annual Hall of Fame Awards 5:30–7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at the Tyrrell Park Garden Center, 6088 Babe Zaharias Dr.
This year’s theme, “Rooted & Refined,” celebrates individuals who helped cultivate Beaumont’s tourism and meetings industry throughout 2025. The event will honor the meeting planners who seeded Beaumont as their host city for curated meetings, sporting events, and reunions — contributions that helped in the city’s continued growth and success.
The ceremony will include special recognition of Frank Neal, who  will be honored posthumously, for his dedication to Beaumont and the local softball community.
In addition, the CVB will present its Annual Service Award to a hospitality or service industry professional who has demonstrated dedication to enhancing tourism in Beaumont.
For the second consecutive year, the CVB will also present the Friend of the CVB Award, recognizing a local citizen who has fostered a passion for Beaumont, supported the CVB’s mission, and helped advance its efforts.
The recipients of both awards will remain a closely guarded secret and will be revealed at the conclusion of the reception.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our tourism partners at the year’s Hall of Fame Awards,” said CVB Executive Director Freddie Willard. “This event is a wonderful opportunity to express tour sincere gratitude to the planners who have chosen Beaumont and to recognize the incredible individuals within our community who make our city shine.”
According to Director of Marketing Desiree Pete, the Beaumont CVB works to attract a diverse range of events to Beaumont, including conferences, conventions, and sporting events that inject tourism dollars into the local economy.
“With this being my first Hall of Fame as director of Sales, I am both nervous and excited”, said Shannon Mires.“The opportunity to host this event and give back to the partners who made this year successful is the lagniappe that always makes Beaumont the right choice.”
In 2025, Beaumont welcomed 90 organizations and 80,642 convention delegates and sports participants across 133 events. The estimated economic impact of these events on Beaumont’s economy is $9.1 million.
