LU to host Recovery and Resiliency Summit

A group of multidisciplinary researchers from Lamar University is hosting the third annual Recovery and Resiliency Summit on April 9. The virtual event features speakers from varying fields and welcomes all Southeast Texans to participate.

Texas A&M Task Force 1 traveling to La. ahead of incoming storm

  At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to deploy Texas A&M Task Force 1 to Louisiana as the state prepares for Tropical Storm Sally.

ExxonMobil Beaumont, Tri-Con provide fuel to support Hurricane Laura recovery

The ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery and distributor Tri-Con announced Sept. 8 a combined donation of nearly 15,000 gallons of Synergy gasoline and Synergy Diesel Efficient to support Hurricane Laura recovery efforts in the Orange and Vinton communities.

AT&T contributing $30,000 for Hurricane Laura relief in Southeast Texas

AT&T reported Aug. 31 that the company is reaching out to help the Southeast Texas community recover from Hurricane Laura’s impacts by contributing $30,000 to the SETX Civilian Taskforce, an organization focused on providing relief and recovery to those in need following a disaster.

World Renew offering assistance in Orange County

Orange County Disaster Rebuild has reportedly partnered with World Renew Disaster Response Services to find individuals with unmet needs resulting from Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 and Tropical Storm Imelda in September 2019. World Renew will have volunteers in Orange County from Monday, Jan.
