The Port Arthur Convention & Visitors Bureau (PACVB) is celebrating International Housekeepers Week by delivering “Thank you” bags with Port Arthur amenities and color pages to hotel housekeepers around the city, reports PACVB. Housekeeping staffs have been working “extra hard” all season, PACVB described, and many area hotels are full of workers aiding in Hurricane Laura recovery.
For their outstanding efforts, Elizabeth Giovannetti and Jennifer Allen of Hampton Inn & Suites both received gift bags celebrating the city. Allen said festivities honoring staff at their site will include a potluck and “lunch-and-learn” with a shoutout to housekeepers. Joshua McCrea said celebrations such as these help unite and uplift employees at the hotel.
