United Way of Beaumont and the Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) have collaborated to launch a brand-new digital foodie pass called Bites for Beaumont, which debuts on Monday, Nov. 1 and runs through Friday, Dec. 31, 2021.

For just $25, passholders get access to over 20 delicious bites and deals from favorite Beaumont restaurants around town. From longtime neighborhood staples to industry newcomers, bites can be redeemed at the purchaser’s leisure, making it a fun excuse to dine around town for a great cause. Passes can be purchased online at www.beaumontcvb.com/bites-for-beaumont/.

The initiative was created as a way to drive business to local restaurants and help offset some of the declining sales caused by the pandemic, while supporting several community charities with their fundraising endeavors. Passholders have from Nov. 1 to the end of the year to redeem their bites and deals, and while no purchase is necessary, the hope is that diners will check out other menu items while they’re visiting the participating restaurants.

“After the success of the Cajun Trail, we were excited to share our passport technology with United Way and collaborate on a new and exciting way for the community to experience the breadth and diversity of our local restaurant scene,” said Christina Lokey, Marketing Director of the Beaumont CVB.

One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit United Way’s 20 area nonprofit partner agencies in the Beaumont and North Jefferson County region, ensuring that every dollar raised stays in the local community.

“We are so grateful to have incredible community partners like the Beaumont CVB. It is through collaboration and uniting as a community that initiatives like this are able to transpire and have a successful outcome,” said John Rollins, Director of Public Relations for United Way. “Bites for Beaumont will provide much-needed support to our restaurants, all while raising critical funds for 36 programs right here in Southeast Texas. These last two years have been tough on small businesses and charities alike – this is a chance for us to rally together as a community, treat ourselves to delicious local cuisine, and lift each other up!”
