Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School has recently received notification from the College Board that four LCM students have been recognized as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars and an AP Scholars with Honors.

The College Board distinction of Advanced Placement Scholar is due to their success on Advanced Placement exams, reports LCMCISD spokesperson Sherri Combs.

Elizabeth Johns, a 2020 graduate, has earned the AP Scholar with Honors designation. That means she received an average of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more AP exams.

Incoming seniors Sean Kim and Aidan Watson and 2020 graduate Darby Watson were named AP Scholars. They received a score of 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams.

"Little Cypress-Mauriceville is proud of these students and the effort they have expended to succeed during their high school careers," the school district stated.
