National association selects local architect to lead advance toward accessibility

D. Clark Teel & Associates and Design Access LLC announced Jan. 7 that D. Clark Teel has been certified as the President-elect of the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA), a national organization of accessibility professionals that provides education and is instrumental in influencing Legislative Policy on accessibility in commercial building design at the state and national level.

Teel has served on the Board of Directors of the APA 11 out of the last 15 years. Now, with Teel serving as President-elect and President in 2022, the APA will be expanding its mission of education, ethics and professionalism to the benefit of the design professionals, their clients and citizens seeking access for their daily work and life.

With a degree from the School of Architecture from Texas A&M University, Teel has over 40 years of experience in design and construction with the last 20 years specializing in building accessibility issues. His offices are located in Beaumont.
