Personal protective equipment (PPE) sent from King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein was recently shipped to the Port of Port Arthur where it will be unloaded and distributed throughout the United States to assist in the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Commander of the 842nd Transportation Battalion of the U.S. Army, also known as the Warhorses, Lt. Col. Gordon Vincent and crew were on hand at the port to facilitate the unloading of military cargo that arrived with the humanitarian shipment via the Liberty Promise cargo ship, a roll-on/roll-off (RORO) vessel.

Numerous pallets were unloaded from the ship April 9 and for days preceding. The pallets were loaded onto rail cars for distribution.
