Stark Cultural Venues announced March 13 that it would be canceling all special programming through April 4 but will remain open for general admission at this time.

As always, the Stark Museum of Art and Shangri La Gardens are free admission; however, the W.H. Stark House will not hold the second Friday and Saturday tours on March 13-14 or any other special events, the business reports.

A notice on the Stark Cultural Venues website invites visitors to the venues for general admission. The notice reads, “WE ARE OPEN

“Come enjoy your day at Stark Cultural Venues! Stark Cultural Venues has many events and programs scheduled for the entire family. We are open Tuesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and offer free admission.

“Of course, the health and safety of our visitors are our top priority. We are taking extra steps to help prevent the spread of germs. We’ve made hand sanitizer readily available to our visitors and are cleaning frequently touched surfaces on an ongoing basis.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and will post any updates due to the coronavirus on starkculturalvenues.org.

“We look forward to seeing you!”

Tad McKee, CEO of the The Nelda C. and H. J. Lutcher Stark Foundation said, “Our highest priority is the health and well-being of our community and employees. We want to be responsible and help keep our patrons, staff and volunteers healthy.”

The Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation stated that it will monitor the progress of the COVID-19 virus and update the public as needed. For more information from the venues, visit Starkculturalvenues.org. Recommendations if you visit Stark Cultural Venues are to practice good hand-washing, take advantage of the many hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venues, and honor the six-foot rule to keep a safe distance from other visitors, suggests the foundation.
