Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll reported that the city will be under curfew until further notice.
According to the announcement, in order to safeguard lives and property, the city of Vidor is putting in place a curfew effective Wednesday, Aug. 26, as follows:
- 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
"We are expecting many power lines and trees across roadways. Vision will be limited at night due to power outages. Essential personnel that are remaining within our community should carry an ID establishing their role and identity. These individuals will be allowed to progress to and from their workplaces and homes during this time period," said Carroll.
