Southeast Texans have always come together to support each other – and this last year proved no exception. That spirit of community was honored earlier this month when local employers were recognized for their exceptional support of our region’s workforce.
Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas honored five companies as “Employers of Excellence” for their partnership with workforce development and their efforts to create employment and training opportunities for local residents.
“These employers have shown innovative thinking and a willingness to create new opportunities for job seekers of all skill levels as well as our transitioning service members,” stated Mary Hammon, executive director of Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas. “The contribution they’ve made is literally life-changing for many of these individuals”
Five companies were recognized with this year’s Employer of Excellence Awards.
TotalEnergies, a multi-energy company that produces and markets energies on a global scale, was awarded Large Employer of the Year. TotalCare Bridge City, a network of medical professionals and clinics that provide continuity of patient care, was recognized as Small Employer of the Year. YMCA of Southeast Texas was honored as the Local Employer of Excellence. Lonnie’s Little Ones in Beaumont was awarded Child Care Provider of the Year and S&S Investigations and Security was recognized as Veteran-Friendly Employer of the Year.
