The Spindletop Showdown BBQ Cook-off is set for Saturday, March 1 at the Beaumont Event Centre, 900 Crockett St. in Beaumont. Hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Judging is 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
Cook-off registration is $250 per team and includes at 25 by 45 foot space, signage, social media shoutout and networking opportunities. Cook-off categories are chicken, pork ribs, brisket, BBQ sause and the Don Bouman's Special. For questions, email cookoff@gtbr.org.
Entry fee is $15 per person and includes all-you-can-eat tastings and beverages. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Entertainment is 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and children age 14 and under get in free to the Kid Zone.
