    CHRISTUS revises visitor policy.

CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System announced Sept. 10 that it is changing its visitor policy starting Friday, Sept. 11.

According to CHRISTUS, “The health and safety of our patients, visitors, Associates and our communities remain the top priority at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. However, we also understand how family, neighbors and members of the community play an important role in healing. Therefore, we are revising our visitor policy.

“Beginning Friday, Sept. 11, patients will be allowed one visitor at a time, per patient to accompany them while in a CHRISTUS Southeast Texas facility. This could include surgical or procedural patients, those coming for lab work or imaging needs such as CTs or MRIs or X-rays, emergency visits or other health care needs.

“All visitors should be prepared to go through a screening process upon entering our facilities. In addition, visitors should bring their own face mask and wear it all times while inside our facilities. Visitors will also be expected to practice appropriate social distancing, especially in common areas like waiting rooms and lobbies. These guidelines help us to maintain safe environments for our patients, visitors and Associates.

“We thank our communities for their understanding and cooperation during the course of these visitor policy changes.”
