Del Papa Distributing, a leading beverage distributor serving Southeast Texas, is proud to announce the presentation of a $50,000 check to the Southeast Texas Food Bank. This donation is the result of a match grant initiative, where the public was invited to contribute alongside Del Papa Distributing to reach a combined goal of $100,000. The Southeast Texas community responded overwhelmingly, surpassing the target and raising just over $100,000.

This remarkable achievement underscores the generosity and compassion of the Southeast Texas community in addressing food insecurity, particularly during challenging times. The funds raised will support the Southeast Texas Food Bank's mission to alleviate hunger in the region.

"For every dollar raised, the Southeast Texas Food Bank can provide 4 meals to those in need," said Jeff Wheeler, Vice President of Marketing at Del Papa Distributing. "With the combined effort of Del Papa Distributing and the community, we are thrilled to be able to provide approximately 400,000 meals to those who need it the most. This is a testament to the power of collective action and community support."

The Southeast Texas Food Bank plays a vital role in addressing hunger in the community, serving thousands of individuals and families each year. The impact of this donation will be felt far and wide, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.

"We are deeply grateful to Del Papa Distributing and the Southeast Texas community for their unwavering support," said Harvey Zernial, President and CEO at the Southeast Texas Food Bank. "This generous donation will enable us to continue our mission of providing nutritious meals to those who need them most. Together, we are making a significant difference in the fight against hunger."
