Education First Federal Credit Union (EFFCU) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its newly remodeled Rosedale Branch, located at 6885 Eastex Freeway, on Feb. 13. Elected officials, community partners and representatives of the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce were in attendance to help celebrate the milestone.

According to the credit union, the branch remodel project began in early July 2019 and included a complete overhaul of its lobby. During the remodel the branch remained open by serving members through the drive-thru.

President and CEO-Elect Kevin Conn thanked the community for their support, members for their patience and architectural design firm NewGround for their support of the local economy by hiring local contractors for the job.

“This remodel was eagerly anticipated, and was done with our members needs in mind,” said Conn. “As a financial institution, we are committed to not only offering our members products and services that aid them in attaining their financial goals, but delivering it to them in a welcoming environment that is secure, technologically advanced and easily accessible.”

The Rosedale branch opened in the mid-1970s, and is located directly across the street from Education First’s Administration Building, located on the corner of Eastex Freeway and Highway 105, which was built in 2017. There are seven branch locations throughout Southeast Texas.
