Education First FCU selects Urjit Patel as Chief Operations Officer.
Education First Federal Credit Union has announced the appointment of Urjit Patel as Chief Operations Officer. Patel comes to Education First with an extensive and diverse experience in the financial services industry.
Most recently, Patel served as Executive Vice President at Axiom Bank in Central Florida where he was responsible for guiding the strategic direction and growth of their retail, marketing, and operational divisions. Prior to that he led Smart Financial Credit Union in Houston as their Chief Experience Officer leading all member experience delivery channels. In addition, he spent 16 years at Fairwinds Credit Union in various management roles helping to grow the organization.

Patel brings significant experience in leading retail and commercial operations, marketing, organizational development, and strategic planning. Throughout his career, he has helped to transform financial institutions into leaders at serving their membership base.
Patel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from University of Central Florida in Orlando. He has been an active member throughout his career in local schools and civic organizations and enjoys spending time traveling with his family.
