Riverside Grille, the latest addition to the downtown dining scene, has injected a newfound sense of excitement into the once-quiet Crockett Street, marking a significant shift from its previous years of relative tranquility. The streets were abuzz the Monday morning of Oct. 30, a rare occurrence in recent memory, as eager patrons flocked to experience the culinary delights offered by this newly established upscale downtown steakhouse.

The brainchild of owners Allen Perkins and Jay Jenkinson, this venture has been long-awaited since its announcement the previous year, promising to fill the void left by the now-defunct Spindletop Restaurant. After months of meticulous preparation, the grand unveiling of the exquisitely renovated establishment was met with great anticipation.

The Crockett Street location, which had once been a thriving hub of entertainment, had languished in desolation for over half a decade. However, a Saturday night invitation-only soiree breathed new life into this historic space, culminating in Riverside Grille’s official opening to the public Monday morning.

Despite the chilly temperatures, the warmth of hospitality radiated as the gracious hostesses gracefully swung open the towering golden and glass doors, inviting patrons into the establishment’s inaugural Grand Opening.

Perkins and Jenkinson transformed the downtown dining landscape, offering a thoughtfully curated menu designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. From the top-tier beverage selection to the ambiance that exudes a touch of opulence uncommon in downtown Beaumont, Riverside Grille manages to maintain a wallet-friendly approach. The journey begins with appetizers, reasonably priced starting at approximately $10, while signature entrees span a reasonable range of $15 to $20, with the pinnacle being a delectable center-cut filet mignon priced at $46.
