Honoring Vietnam veterans in Beaumont

The Vietnam Veterans of America Inc. SETX Chapter #292 is hosting its annual Vietnam Veterans Day tribute on March 29 at the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitors Center in Beaumont, and members of the public are invited to join them in honoring Vietnam veterans, who served bravely overseas to protect American values.

The event will be held inside the indoor theatre at the visitors’ center beginning at 11 a.m. Beaumont Mayor Robin Mouton will read a proclamation from the city, the Honor Guard will present colors and guests can hear patriotic music during the tribute. The guest speaker is Dennis Blessing, who served with both the Army and Navy and was a surgical specialist in Vietnam.
