‘Local First’ puts Southeast Texas at top of vendor list

The Local First Vendor and Supplier Fair, held July 26 for vendors and suppliers interested in being considered for work on the Golden Triangle Polymer Co. (GTOC) LLC project, was widely attended at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center in Orange.

The community program was aimed to place Orange County and Golden Triangle region businesses first when sourcing suppliers, vendors and workforce for GTPC.

“We are collaborating with several community organizations to develop programs that will help area workers and businesses see and compete for available opportunities,” GTPC reported.

GTPC is a joint venture owned indirectly by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (51%) and QatarEnergy U.S. Investments (2) LLC (49%), headquartered in Orange.
