The Museum of the Gulf Coast (MOGC) is hosting a blood drive at the museum Oct. 3 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. due to "critically low" blood supplies at local blood banks, MOGC reports.

The Port Arthur museum is partnering with LifeShare Blood Center for the indoor donation drive. According to MOGC, they are taking all necessary precautions in accordance with local and state guidelines regarding COVID-19 to keep residents safe.

Participants will receive a T-shirt, free museum entrance for themselves and a friend, a Raising Cane's gift card for a box combo while supplies last, and they will get to see presentations from the Snake Education Experience team. Stop by the museum, located at 700 Procter St. in Port Arthur, Saturday to donate and take a tour of the museum.
