Orange County Judge John Gothia reports that the Orange County Courthouse at 801 W. Division in Orange reopened Oct. 1, and anyone entering must adhere to precautions in place due to COVID-19.

According to the announcement from Gothia’s office, “Orange County’s main priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of the citizens and employees. The accommodations for the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic will continue throughout the building. To enter into the courthouse, the back door is the only open entry at this time.”

The courthouse will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Because the courthouse sustained damage during Hurricane Laura, some offices have been relocated and construction at the courthouse is ongoing. Citizens are urged to contact offices they need to visit by phone or email to verify location and entry protocols specific to the office. Office phone numbers and email addresses may be found on the county website, www.co.orange.tx.us.
