The city of Beaumont Planning & Zoning Office is currently restricting public access due to COVID-19 and is outlining the procedures for public inquiries and business during the temporary limitation.

According to a statement released March 23, the office will continue operation and provided a list of newly implemented procedures that should be followed for permitting and other Planning & Zoning needs.

The office released the following list of procedures:

Public Inquiries: The Permitting staff can assist you from your home or office computer just as we do at the counter. To connect with staff please do so via email at Zoning@Beaumonttexas.gov or by phone at (409) 880-3764. Helpful links are below. Note: With a higher volume of calls and emails, and a modified permitting process, plan review timelines and response to questions will increase. Application Intake: For all applications to the Planning & Zoning office, you can apply via email or mail by completing an application which can be found at:

Once completed, you can:

Application Review and Issuance: Once we have processed your application, you will receive a phone call or email with instructions on how to submit your payment. Once fees have been paid, you will receive a phone call or email on the next steps in the review process. Certificates of Appropriateness that can be issued by staff will be sent to the applicant via email or regular mail.
