Following a three-year hiatus, St. Anne Catholic School’s Halloween Carnival is returning, so bring out the kiddos for free fare and festivities, and – on your way out – grab some canned goods from the cupboard for a donation drive benefitting the local food bank.

Prior to its pause, the carnival was a tradition at the school for many years and staff says they are excited to bring back the popular event. This year’s carnival features a costume contest, spaghetti-eating competition, a cake walk, haunted house and music on stage for the event, as well as as inflatables, spin art, confetti eggs and other exciting activities for youth to enjoy.

A veritable cornucopia of delicious dishes, like gumbo, tamales, pizza, barbecue and – of course – an abundance of sweets, will be available at the carnival, which is open to the public. Admission requires a canned food donation. All canned good will be donated to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

The event is free and open to the public, however, St. Anne’s will be collecting canned food donations at the door. Guests’ food donation will gain them entry. All canned goods will be donated to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

The carnival is Oct. 29, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., on St. Anne’s school grounds, located at 375 North 11th St. in Beaumont.
