Body

Three huge wind turbine blades left the Port of Beaumont via truck Jan. 28.

Flaggers had to briefly restrict travel on the access road at the MLK underpass as truck tractors pulled the long blades through the intersection so they could turn left and get on the interstate. The Beaumont Police Department observed the move and assisted in clearing traffic for the transport operation. The blades will be attached to wind turbines for energy production.
