The Port Arthur International Seafarers’ Center will host author Penny Clark, Special Collections Librarian at Lamar University in Beaumont, who will give a PowerPoint presentation and sign copies of her new picture book, Beaumont’s Civil Air Patrol in World War II, on Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.

The Depot Day Midway will be open for family fun on Saturday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Orange Train Depot Museum, located at 1210 Green Ave. in Orange. Depot Day is the annual fundraiser sponsored by the Friends of the Orange Depot, and all the community is invited.
