Cheniere, in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA), will host an essential workshop designed to prepare small businesses for collaboration with local industries.
The workshop is 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Raymond Gould Community Center at 385 Claiborne St. in Vidor. Advance registration is required; visit bit.ly/4rLFTq1.
The workshop, titled “Is Your Business Ready for Government Certifications?,” will provide insights and guidance for small business owners looking to expand operations and secure contracts with larger industry partners through government certification.
The workshop will focus on:
• navigating procurement processes and certification requirements
• meeting government standards and regulatory compliance
• real-world success stories and actionable insights from certified businesses
Dana Espinal, MBA, director of the Port Arthur SBDC, said the workshop offers a practical pathway for local businesses.

The Lamar State College Port Arthur SBDC is a business advising and training center of the University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network serving 32 counties in Southeast Texas.
The SBDC program is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network is financed with $3.25M (46%) of federal funding and $3.8M (54%) of non-federal funding.
