Youth meetings, sports tournaments big business for Beaumont

When it comes to meetings, conferences and sporting events, the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has a wide demographic of groups that choose to host events in the city. From swing dance groups to state associations and everything in between, Beaumont has seen it all.

Youth sport and meetings have become significant part of the CVB’s business. With the week-long and weekend-long baseball and softball tournaments, football, cheer events, dance groups, martial arts, competitions and other athletic events, Beaumont has become “a hot spot” for sports groups.

“We are going to see a little bit of it all – competitions on the fields, on the dance floor and in the classroom,” said Beaumont CVB Director of Sales Freddie Willard. “We are going to make sure that each group has a good time while in Beaumont. We recently hosted Hot Hearts Ministries and the Texas Crime Stoppers Campus Conference, which were youth-based meetings. We were able to tailor their experience with fun things to do while also having a successful meeting.”

Youth sports and events this year include The Streetz Dance Conference and Competition; Southeast Texas Baseball Academy; Hot Hearts Ministries; Texas Crime Stoppers Campus Conference; SkillsUSA; Unites States Specialty Sports Association; Beaumont Youth Soccer Club; Neches River Festival; Guardian Travel Group; USA Softball of Texas; Big Easy Flag Football; and United States Fastpitch Association.

Easily accessible and affordable, Beaumont has attractions, restaurants, hotels and, most importantly, facilities that make the city “a great option for your next event,” says Willard.
