Return of ‘Jazz at the Lake’ welcomes array of talent

The City of Beaumont’s annual Jazz at the Lake returns to the Downtown Event Centre monthly from June to August for summer nights of live entertainment, cool jazz, and community fun. The event is held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. indoors at the Event Centre.

Lutcher Theater kicks off 43rd season with R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

The Lutcher Theater has announced the opening of their 43rd season with “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.,” an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Aretha Franklin. The concert will play for one night only on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at lutcher.org.

Summer variety show offers look at LSCPA’s talented artists

Whether it’s music, art or drama you enjoy the most, Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) will offer something you’ll love in its upcoming Summer Spectacular Variety Show. The Summer Spectacular will take place over three days: Thursday, July 14, starting at 1:30 p.m.; Friday, July 15, 7 p.m.

Local school gets $4k grant from Walmart

Little Cypress Elementary School recently received a $4,000 Walmart Community grant to provide educational tools for the school.
