Lamar State College Orange Fishing Club places ninth in national championship

Lamar State College Orange announced Oct. 31 that, in its very first year of existence, the school’s Fishing Club placed ninth in the nation at the 2020 Carhartt Bassmaster College National Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.

Trent Buchholz and Grady Doucet placed third in the Abu Garcia College tournament July 10.

The Lamar State College Orange Gators fishing team has reeled in another tournament win, with anglers Trent Buchholz and Grady Doucet placing third in the Abu Garcia College tournament, qualifying them for the national tournament. The event was held Friday, July 10 at Fort Gibson Lake in Oklahoma.
