Texas Gov. Greg Abbott appointed two Southeast Texas residents as student regents to their respective universities for terms set to expire on May 31, 2024. Appointed to Texas Southern University was Dylan Getwood, of Port Arthur, who is pursuing a degree in health information management at TSU.
