Spindletop Center announces new chief clinical officer

Spindletop Center announced Aug 8 that Heather Champion, M.Ed., LPC, has been named its new chief clinical officer. Dr. Scott Strang, Spindletop Center’s chief clinical officer for the last several years, has announced his retirement. His last day is to be Aug. 19.
The Spindletop Center is certified by Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a CCBHC.

Spindletop Center receives certification

The Spindletop Center announced Dec. 17 that it has been certified as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) for a period of three years, effective Dec. 1, by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).

Spindletop Center to host career fair Sept. 30

Spindletop Center plans to host a career fair on Thursday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Center’s HRD Building, at 655 S Eighth St. in Beaumont. “Spindletop is an amazing place to work,” said Alexis Langley, human resources recruiting specialist at Spindletop Center.

Spindletop Center cancels event

Out of an abundance of caution, the Spindletop Center is canceling the groundbreaking ceremony for its new community garden due to concerns regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
