ExxonMobil welcomes new Refinery Manager

ExxonMobil is ringing in 2021 by welcoming a new manager to its Refinery. Rozena Dendy replaces Ryan Bucholtz, who assumed a new role at the company’s corporate headquarters in Irving. Dendy comes to Beaumont from Nanticoke, Canada, where she was the manager at the Nanticoke Refinery.

Big Thicket National Preserve is looking for volunteers on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15, for a second Longleaf Pine Tree Planting Event. During the first event, held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January, volunteers nearly 5,000 trees.

The Jefferson County Commissioners Court has appointed Edreauanna Fowler to the Spindletop Center Board of Trustees. She is taking the seat left vacant after her mother, Gladdie Fowler, passed away on Dec. 4, 2020.

Three huge wind turbine blades left the Port of Beaumont via truck Jan. 28. Flaggers had to briefly restrict travel on the access road at the MLK underpass as truck tractors pulled the long blades through the intersection so they could turn left and get on the interstate.
