The city of Port Neches provided residents information and recommendations, including a boil water notice, Aug. 27 following Hurricane Laura’s impact in the early morning hours. According to the city, “Today the city crews will be removing limbs from our roads to allow access.

Businesses across Southeast Texas are closing doors and, in some cases, boarding up windows, as Hurricane Laura heads to the area as a Category 4 hurricane with winds expected to top 100 mph. Legacy Community Health announced Aug. 26 that it would be closing at 3 p.m. in preparation for the storm.
